SPON DIOGO is a fashion label founded by Mia Lisa Spon & Rui Pedro Andersen Rodrigues Diogo in spring 2008. Mia and Rui have worked together as design team for over four years and live and work in Copenhagen.
As a team they have over the years designed for various companies on projects such as male / female prêt à porter collections, jewellery, bags, identity programs etc.. Mia Lisa Spon is a trained tailor and has worked for Danish and Swedish fashion and apparel companies. Rui Andersen Rodrigues Diogo ran a design studio, an art gallery and boutique in Reykjavík. He has worked as arts editor on Danish fashion magazine III and with industrial and graphic design.
Our approach is architectonic, structural, rhythmic, graphic and strongly founded in the love for luxurious materials and detail work tailoring.
The Spon Diogo woman is urban, social and self confident, and it was this look that they debuted mid October 2008 when they showed their first 10 piece collection, exclusively for Danish boutique PARISTEXAS (http://www.paristexas.dk/) . Then they created a capsule collection- a pre-collection spring / summer 2009 collection entitled FACETS.
Their autumn / winter 2009 collection is a full collection and counts 36 pieces, and they will do our first catwalk show in August in connection with Copenhagen Fashion Week - August 2009.
They will be showing our Spring / Summer 2021 collection in Copenhagen in August and Paris in October.
